Parenting a toddler has been the greatest challenge in my adult life. I’ve never felt more desperate, helpless, frustrated, defeated, and utterly confused all at the same time.

Distance has been something I’ve observed more while living here. The distance from our home to the subway. The distance (or lack of distance) between me and the smelly passenger next to me. The distance from our bedroom to the bathroom; a trek that’s seemingly insignificant to most people, but very familiar to pregnant women.
Adjusting to a new place and culture has been interesting, for lack of a better word. Although, “interesting” is very fitting given some of the situations and people we’ve encountered.
As of April 1, 2016, we’ve officially been here for one year! I didn’t expect that the year would fly by so quickly. I know we’ll look back on this year and want to remember all of the important, or at least interesting, things that have happened.
As mentioned in an earlier post, we moved … again! This has become a norm in our lives. It’s gotten slightly easier to pack up our belongings and adjust to a new environment, but still not easy enough to where we would want to do this regularly (or ever again).
