Have you ever read the book Wacky Wednesday by Dr. Seuss? For whatever reason, out of his 20-book, Dr. Seuss collection, H really likes this one. I think the story is a little strange, and find the illustrations to be a little creepy, but he thinks it’s silly.

Having grown up in the suburbs, I had very little experience with city life prior to moving here. My only memories of taking public transportation were the occasional bus ride for a field trip or during summer vacation when I would visit my grandma in Japan.
With the birth of our youngest son, and with the onslaught of new relationships in the past year, we’ve received questions about the origins of our sons’ names. With most people, it’s a quick one-line explanation. But with others, we have to give an entire historical lesson just to explain the origin, not to mention the significance behind the names.
Some time ago I shared about the struggles of parenting a toddler. While those struggles are still very real, I’ve been reflecting recently on the many blessings afforded to me through motherhood.
