When seminary ended this past December, I was contemplating which bible reading plan I should choose. I’ve shied away from committing to a reading plan the previous five years because of the seminary workload, but when school ended, I was more than eager to pick one up.
The one that I picked (and its a plan we are going through together as a family and with our EA team) is the one by Jim Hamilton. His reading plan not only goes through the entire Bible within the year, but there are select readings from his book “God’s Glory in Salvation Through Judgment.” Hamilton’s book has been on my “must-read” list for a while, so I’m glad to have happened upon this bible reading plan. Why not knock out two birds with one stone, right?
I’m eager to go through this bible reading plan because it not only gets me to read the Bible in larger chunks, but it also allows me to see the central theme of the Bible, which Hamilton argues is God’s glory in salvation through judgment.
If you haven’t picked up a bible reading plan yet, I would recommend this one. I know its January 6th, but its never too late to start!
