Since my teaching semester ended two weeks ago, my schedule has been freed up considerably. To be honest, I don’t like it when I have a lot of free time. I prefer having a normal schedule to stick by, so it was another adjustment period for myself. I’ve been trying to fill up my time purposefully and I wanted to share with you where my time has been going.

Being in school for most of my 20’s, I sometimes catch myself thinking like a student. Being a former college p also helped reinforce that perspective. Whether it’s that hope of starting well at the beginning of a new semester or the failed expectations at the midpoint or the mad dash to finish the semester, it’s a perspective that’s ingrained into me.
Hi everyone! It’s been a while since a general update, so we wanted to update you of some major points over the past three months. They are not in any particular order of importance.
One thing people who move overseas don’t initially anticipate is how your brain is split into two timelines. You have a timeline for what is going on back at home and a timeline of what you are doing here. It kind of helps explain why time seems to go by so slowly. But anyway, here’s a brief recap of the past two months!
I’ve been using the Hamilton Reading Plan to read through the Book in a year. I really like this reading plan because it allows me to focus on just one book from the word instead of splitting my attention to various sections. This month we were able to finish John and there’s just a lot of thoughts that I’ve been putting into my spiritual slow cooker to help my mind and heart understand more of what’s taking place over here.
